D365 Finance Functional Consultant

Join our global digitalisation team as a D365FO Finance Consultant, driving a greenfield Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations implementation across 15 production sites. You’ll help shape and refine our global business process template—spanning sales, procurement, manufacturing, quality, logistics, warehousing, and finance—while supporting ongoing optimisation in a truly international environment.

Main responsibilities of the role are:

• Lead or participate in the full lifecycle of D365FO Finance implementations, including requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go live optimisation

• Configure and optimise Finance modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash & Bank, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, and Credit & Collections etc.

• Define and improve financial processes and workflows to streamline operations and enhance efficiency

• Extract, transform, cleanse, and validate data prior to loading into D365FO using the Data Management Framework (DMF) and other tools

• Execute data migration test cycles (mock runs, dry-runs, reconciliation) to ensure readiness for go-live

• Draft functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams for integrations, customisations, and reporting

• Provide functional expertise, guidance, and best practices on ERP Finance solutions and industry trends

• Train, support, and collaborate with local super-users, finance teams, and key stakeholders across the global rollout

• Implement and manage ongoing release upgrades to maintain a modern and compliant ERP platform

• Assist with testing (unit tests, system integration tests, user acceptance test), ensure quality, resolve finance-module issues

• Support daily users issues, document them and create knowledge base

• Educational background in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a similar field is preferred

• Proven 3+ years of experience as a D365FO (or AX) Finance Consultant

• Deep knowledge of financial accounting concepts, ERP finance modules: GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank, etc.

• Experience with project lifecycle phases: requirements gathering, configuration, testing, data migration, cutover, go-live, post-go-live support

• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, attention to detail

• Good communication skills: ability to run workshops, present to stakeholders, write documentation.

• Willingness to travel frequently to support global rollout plans; remote collaboration is also common

• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)

• Counted as an advantage:

  • Certifications in Dynamics 365 Finance (or previous AX equivalents)

  • Experience with integration with other systems, use of Microsoft Power Platform, BI/Reporting Tools

  • Experience in your industry (manufacturing, retail, services, etc.) for relevancy to domain-specific finance processes

  • Experience working in international/multi-country rollouts (localisation, regulatory compliance, tax, multi-currency)
